2. About SeedsByZone

SeedsByZone is an independent directory that organizes seed sellers according to their own published climate specializations, USDA hardiness-zone information, and ordering methods.

SeedsByZone is not a seed retailer, seed producer, agricultural authority, or representative of the businesses listed.

A directory listing is not an endorsement, certification, recommendation, or guarantee of a seller or its products.

3. Directory information

Seller information is collected from the sellers' own published websites, catalogs, and other relevant published materials. Records include source information and checked dates.

We make reasonable efforts to represent published information accurately, but website content, catalogs, ordering methods, and business details can change.

A checked date identifies when the information was reviewed. It does not guarantee that the information remains current afterward.

We may review, correct, update, reorganize, or remove directory information when appropriate.

4. No guarantee of seller availability

A listing does not guarantee that a seller currently operates, accepts orders, stocks a particular product, or ships to a particular location.

Visitors should verify current product availability, ordering methods, shipping arrangements, minimum orders, and other purchasing conditions directly with the seller.

SeedsByZone does not process seed purchases, accept payments for listed sellers, arrange deliveries, or control transactions between visitors and sellers.

5. Climate and USDA zone information

USDA hardiness zones describe average annual extreme minimum winter temperatures. They are one reference for understanding growing conditions, not a complete description of a location's climate.

The ZIP-to-zone lookup is designed to use a bundled reference table based on the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map. The ZIP lookup on this site uses that reference data, bundled as a static file (2023 edition, half zones grouped to whole zones).

ZIP-code results are general reference information and are not property-level climate assessments.

SeedsByZone does not guarantee germination, plant survival, yield, growing performance, or suitability based on a ZIP code, USDA zone, regional description, or directory match.

Gardening results depend on many factors, including seed variety, soil, temperature, rainfall, growing-season length, elevation, planting conditions, and care.

6. Seller submissions and corrections

Visitors may suggest sellers, request listing claims, submit corrections, and contact SeedsByZone through the available forms.

By submitting information, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that, to the best of your knowledge, it is accurate.

You must not knowingly submit false, misleading, unlawful, or malicious information.

Submissions are reviewed before anything is published. A submission does not guarantee that a listing will be accepted, changed, or published.

We may decline submissions that cannot be verified or that do not meet the directory's scope.

7. Acceptable website use

You agree not to:

• Submit knowingly false or deceptive seller information.
• Attempt to interfere with the website's operation, availability, or security.
• Attempt unauthorized access to website systems or submission infrastructure.
• Send automated requests that disrupt normal website operation.

• Misrepresent an affiliation with SeedsByZone or a listed seller.

8. Intellectual property

The SeedsByZone website design, original written content, branding, and site materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may access and use the website for personal research and informational purposes.

You may not reproduce substantial portions of original website content, republish the directory as your own, or use the SeedsByZone brand in a way that implies authorization or affiliation without appropriate permission.

Seller names, trademarks, product names, and external materials remain the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion in the directory does not transfer ownership or imply endorsement.

9. External links

SeedsByZone links to seller websites, seed catalogs, and other external resources, including official USDA information.

External websites are independently operated. We do not control their content, availability, privacy practices, products, pricing, or business operations.

Following an external link is your decision. Review the destination website's own terms and policies before providing information or making a purchase.

10. Affiliate relationships and advertising

SeedsByZone may display advertising or participate in affiliate programs. Any applicable commercial relationship will be disclosed in accordance with relevant requirements.

Affiliate relationships do not change the directory's verification requirements. A seller's inclusion or climate classification is not a guarantee of product quality or suitability.

Any affiliate link or commercial recommendation should be evaluated independently by the visitor.
