Look up your USDA zone
Choose either lookup method. The lookup runs locally in your browser against a bundled static reference file built from the 2023 USDA Plant Hardiness Zone ZIP listing (PRISM Climate Group) — no external ZIP lookup API is used. Half zones are grouped to the whole zone shown on this site.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR RESULTS
What does your USDA zone tell you?
The USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map organizes locations according to average annual extreme minimum winter temperatures. It provides a reference for comparing winter cold conditions across different locations.
Hardiness zones are primarily a reference for understanding whether perennial plants can withstand typical winter cold in a particular location.
A zone does not describe your entire climate. Summer heat, rainfall, soil, elevation, humidity, frost dates, and growing-season length also influence what can grow successfully.
Use the lookup as a starting point when researching seed sellers. Check the seller's own growing-region descriptions and individual seed information before making a purchase.

Seed sellers specializing in your zone
Seller matches are based on published zone or climate specializations. A seller's base location alone is not enough to qualify for a zone.
